I have been with H2 over a year now, and I say what is the best bang for your money. I bought it for a friend. E 'ideal for concerts and recordings on the recording. Or repetition. Or ideas for songs while you're on the road. Or else. E 'can handle a huge amount of sound pressure levels without overloading and is very easy to use. Robust, affordable rates and the sound is Class A. High dynamic microphones do well.

Zoom H2 audio recorder personal dominates the field these days - and for good reason: it is small, lightweight, low cost and feature rich. And what it lacks in fidelity makes it a warm and welcoming, open and very present sound.

The Mikey Blue, even if connected to a 3G nano is smaller and lighter and less expensive H2 Zoom. It is also easier to use: choose "Voice Memo" menu of the iPod, select one of the 3 institutions based on the volume of the sound source, and let it run.

I bought H4n after being unhappy with the performance of most H2, where I could record a good signal has been distorted sound with Line In jack. Only to discover that H4n has the same problem, but not that bad. If I try to record a line level signal from the sound card or stereo receiver and connect to 1 / 4 "jack H4n that it is almost impossible that it was distorted signal. It seems that the two models in the preamp line is much too sensitive and clips simple and is also cutting the pre gain adjustment is not correct. I contacted the Zoom H2 for technical support and was told that I probably had a defective product. I went back to H2, and decided to give another chance to try Zoom after H4n had seen many positive reviews.

I usually do not like to vote on something five stars because I like still room for improvement and a product that the feeling is never perfect. While I do not call the Zoom H4n perfect, I think it's something they created and it is fantastic. It has exceeded my expectations, especially for the price, and use it however I can.
